The  SOS Youth Village Bakoteh was constructed in 1985. Situated between the Vocational Training Center and the Technical High School, the youth village consists of 5 accommodation blocks for the youths and one family house for the youth supervisor.

The youth facility is established as a home for the adolescent boys and it is there that they learn how to become independent. They manage their household allowances, shop, cook, clean and do their laundry themselves.

The youths carry out their daily duties under the supervision of a youth supervisor who assists them in making decisions on matters affecting them/ they stay in the youth village until they are ready to lead an independant life.
