The SOS Vocational Training and Production Center started its operation in 1985. The center was set up to cater for the vocational needs of the SOS youth as well as those from the local community. Considered to be one of the best in the Gambia, the training and production centre is purposely set up to stare for the vocationl needs of our SOS youths and also those fron the local community.

It comprises of a carpentry, a metalwork and an auto mechanic workshop. The three-year intensive course is mainly practical but theoretical lecturesand computer trainings are also given to the students. On sucessful completion of the training porgramme, students are awarded a certificate.

At the moment, the center has almost 50 youths in training in the various departments.
