When the local sponsor MTN comes to celebrate Christmas with SOS Children's Village Guinea-Bissau, it does not do it half way! On 19 December 2008, MTN, the major mobile telecommunication operator in Guinea-Bissau, added plenty presents under the villages Christmas trees of the three Children's Villages that the country counts.

After 15 years of presence in the country, SOS Children's Villages Guinea-Bissau inaugurated on 23 October 2008 its third village in Canchungo in the presence Mr Richard Pichler, secretary-general of SOS-Kinderdorf International and many other important guests.
